Our strategic objectives
Our goal is underpinned by three strategic objectives:
1. Identify through consultation with stakeholders (industry, iwi, and other community groups) the major technical, societal and environmental issues that need to be prioritised for the transformation of the current linear economic model;
2. Develop teams with complementary expertise within the Centre to formulate solutions to these issues with an awareness that such solutions need to incorporate technological and social elements to facilitate both technical solutions and the willingness of stakeholders and society to adopt and implement them; and
3. Create a platform by bringing leaders in academia and industry to the Centre to share in developing a solid body of knowledge for the transition to a circular economy and co-creation of new research, educational initiatives and dedicated projects.
